Show your Big E and West Side pride by wearing accessories fashioned from the official Eastern States Exposition – West Springfield Tartan now available at The ESE Farmers Market, (link) near the Mallary Complex and Gate 9A. The colorful wool Tartan finely weaves together shades of blue, purple, yellow, green and red in a nod to the West Springfield community, the flags of the six New England states and the 100-plus year history of the Exposition.
The textile was designed and developed in Scotland through the efforts and determination of West Springfield resident Gerry Healy. The material is internationally recognized by the Scottish Register of Tartans (certificate #11459) and a swatch is archived for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
This Tartan represents all that is good about West Springfield, Eastern States Exposition and the six New England states. Please wear your Tartan in good health and be proud of its origins.
Profits from sales of the Tartan will be donated to the West Springfield St. Patrick’s Day Committee.
